Recensie Een geliefd klassiek spel van durf en kans, Pop-Up Pirate is vaten van explosief plezier. Om het spel op te zetten, moet er een klein beetje in elkaar gezet worden, met stickers die voorzichtig opgeplakt moeten worden om de ton en de basis te versieren.
Duw de piraat naar beneden en hij sluit zich op zo'n manier in de ton dat hij willekeurig tevoorschijn komt als er een zwaard wordt ingeduwd - en niemand weet welk zwaard het zal zijn! Spelers kiezen een set zwaarden van hun favoriete kleur en kiezen om beurten een slot, in de hoop dat zij niet degene zijn die de piraat met een start omhoog laat knallen.
Zodra de piraat is neergeknald, halen de overgebleven spelers hun zwaarden tevoorschijn en beginnen opnieuw te spelen totdat alleen de winnaar overblijft. Elke keer dat je de piraat terug in de ton duwt, verandert het gat waardoor hij tevoorschijn komt, waardoor Pop-Up Pirate een spannend en opwindend spel wordt waarbij je nooit weet wie degene zal zijn die de piraat de ruimte in lanceert.
