POND - Terrestrials [Vinyl]

Beloved Australian five-piece POND deliver their 11th record, Terrestrials, a potent collection of urgent, scorched earth rock’n’roll. This album tips the hat to the sounds of a potent epoch in Oz rock while squarely facing the realities of the here and now, mining the sound of open sky melancholia and heat haze sizzling on the plains.

Terrestrials explores themes of people and place, identity, and the intersection where they interact. The music captures the desperation of a planet on the brink but ultimately bets on the beauty of both to prevail. Stereogum noted its unique character, stating it has "all this strutting, preening glam-rock/new wave energy, but it's too weird and oblique to play as pure pastiche."

• Urgent, scorched earth rock’n’roll style.
• Captures the sound of jangly pub backrooms and open sky melancholia.
• The band’s 11th studio record, offering a skerrick of hope.

This release is presented on vinyl (lp_record) from MANGOVISION, featuring the artist POND.
