Kindred North - Kindred North [CD]

Kindred North - The Debut Album

Kindred North delivers pure '80s fire for the modern age with their self-titled debut album. This project is the result of a deep musical connection between Swedish vocalist/guitarist Andi Kravljaca (Seventh Wonder, Hydra, Find Me, Thaurorod) and Norwegian multi-instrumentalist Andreas Nergård (Nergard). Bound by a shared obsession with musical excellence and their Nordic roots, the duo aims to lead with melody, conviction, and undeniable skill.

Drawing influences from classic rock titans like Winger, Dokken, and Europe, Kindred North carves out a modern hard-rock sound rooted in the studio craftsmanship of the late 1980s. Their mission is to realize "the future the 1980s promised but never happened," eschewing modern production trends for raw amplifiers, dedicated practice, and genuine stakes. The album is a manifesto of execution, blending technical competence with emotional songwriting and raw performance.

Experience aggressive guitar solos, downtuned seven-string riffs, soaring vocal lines, dense harmonies, and unapologetically big choruses. Tracks like the explosive opener “A Guiding Heart” and the infectious, high-energy “Natural High” showcase the band’s dynamic range, from driving hard rock to synth-infused melodies, all anchored by strong musicianship. This is not nostalgia; it's a bold statement of human urgency and momentum.
