Bread & Fred [PS5]

Embark on a Challenging Climb with Bread & Fred on PlayStation 5

Bread & Fred is a precision platformer for PlayStation 5 where players control two penguins, Bread and Fred, who are tethered together. This unique mechanic is central to the gameplay, requiring cooperation and strategic use of momentum to navigate treacherous snowy mountains. Every jump and swing must be carefully considered, as a misstep means a shared fall down the mountain.

Master the art of penguin climbing, utilizing your tether to swing across vast gaps and propel each other to new heights. You'll need to anchor one penguin to the ground while the other makes a daring leap, or risk falling together. The penguins' limited grip strength means you can only hang onto walls for a short time, adding an element of urgency to your ascent.

For those who prefer a solo challenge, Bread & Fred offers a single-player mode where you can tether yourself to Jeff, a trusty rock. This mode puts your individual skills to the test, with no one else to blame when you inevitably tumble. Legends speak of penguin heroes who have reached the summit; will you join their ranks?

Embrace the falls, learn from each mistake, and find laughter in the struggle. With careful planning and mastery of penguin skills, the summit is within reach. For the most dedicated climbers, Bread & Fred features a speedrun mode to compete for the title of best penguin climber.
