MONUMENT OF MISANTHROPY - Washington State Charm [Vinyl]

Experience the Auditory Violence of MONUMENT OF MISANTHROPY's 'Washington State Charm'

Dive into the latest full-length slab of extremity from MONUMENT OF MISANTHROPY with 'Washington State Charm.' This concept album chronicles the dark coming-of-age story of a serial killer, from an awkward upbringing to a final reckoning on the electric chair, drawing inspiration from figures like Ted Bundy. The band, originally founded as a solo project in Austria by Georg Wilfinger, has evolved into a formidable studio band featuring Romain Goulon and Jean-Pierre Battesti, building on the success of their previous album 'Vile Postmortem Irrumatio.'

Musically, 'Washington State Charm' sees MONUMENT OF MISANTHROPY staying true to their ethos of constant reinvention. They weave together threads from earlier works like 'Unterweger' and 'Vile Postmortem Irrumatio' while injecting fresh chaos through collaborations with notable musicians such as Mendel bij de Leij (ex-Aborted), Johnny Ciardullo (AngelMaker / Carcosa), Gabe Mangold (Enterprise Earth), and Hal Microutsicos (Engulf). Expect bold flirtations with deathcore alongside nods to brutal veterans like Dying Fetus, Cannibal Corpse, and Morbid Angel.

The album's closing track, 'Strapped To The Throne / (Burn, Bundy, Burn),' is highlighted by Georg Wilfinger for its 'God of Emptiness but with more sickness' vibe, directly inspiring the album artwork that immortalizes Ted Bundy's final moments. This release is a testament to their relentless pursuit of auditory violence and their position as 'Mindhunters' of brutal Death Metal.
