Stornoway - Beyonder [CD]

Beyonder is an album by Stornoway, with expansive arrangements, distinctive harmonies and clear melodies. It’s for listeners drawn to thoughtful songs about journeys, discovery and connection, shaped by the band’s experience of St Kilda.

The album moves beyond the folk label often attached to Stornoway’s early work while retaining the melodic warmth and sense of wonder associated with their music. Its songs reflect on environmental and political change, and the effects these pressures have on people and communities, while cultivating a hopeful outlook.

Among the songs are “River Of Voices”, “Marco Polo”, “Skydiver” and “Leave Your Light On”. The album was mixed by multi-Grammy-winning engineer Oli Jacobs.
