Blondshell - Violins [Vinyl]

Violins is the highly anticipated third album from Blondshell, featuring Sabrina Teitelbaum digging into deeper, more complex themes. Following her acclaimed 2023 self-titled debut and 2025's If You Asked For A Picture, this 11-track LP moves beyond the veil of bad romantic relationships toward something braver, exploring the balance between the world's violence and its beauty.

This record tackles subjects like troubled friendships, religion, the body, and the unglamorous work of healing. It is an album characterized by grandeur, drama, and tragedy, built upon virtuoso hooks, swelling guitars, and prominent lead lines. Blondshell pulls in fresh musical touchstones, referencing artists such as Gang of Four, Teenage Fanclub, The Go-Betweens, and Sade, alongside lyrical nods to Leonard Cohen and Pavement.

Experience the anthemic frenemy portrait found in 'Heart Has To Work So Hard,' the sunny, insomniac daydream of 'Lucky,' and the disarming closer, 'Fur Elise.' Violins captures the sound of an artist rendering art entirely on her own terms, having stopped overexplaining.
