Attractive secretary Shirley Freeman (Janette Scott) is encouraged by newspaper journalist Don Mackenzie (Ian Hendry) to enter a beauty pageant while on holiday. After winning, she decides to quit her job and become a full-time contestant and despite early success finds happiness more difficult to come by! Nobody Runs Forever (1968) stars the late, great Christopher Plummer as UN High Commissioner Sir James Quentin in this action thriller set in 1960s London. Sir James Quentin is engaged in sensitive negotiations on behalf of the UN at a conference in London. However, when an Australian detective begins investigating his past, Quentin must deal with accusations whilst ensuring those who wish to undermine his negotiations don’t succeed.
