Hot Chip - The Warning (20th Anniversary Re-Issue)

Rewind to 2006, a time when British music was dominated by guitar bands. Hot Chip's album The Warning emerged like a vibrant bolt from the blue, introducing a generation of indie fans to the exhilarating world of repetitive beats. This seminal album, a 20th-anniversary re-issue, was ahead of its time, spending 17 weeks in the UK charts and earning a Mercury Prize nomination for tracks like 'Over & Over' and 'Boy From School'. Inspired by the New York music scene of the mid-2000s and deeply rooted in the London club underground, The Warning is characterized by ambitious genre blends and a bold statement of intent. As the band stated, "Making this record was definitely us trying to defy expectations and do something exciting." This CD edition celebrates the album's enduring legacy with new liner notes by Kate Hutchinson.
