Art Ensemble Of Chicago - People In Sorrow [VINYL]

Experience the long-awaited vinyl reissue of People in Sorrow, arguably the finest and most ambitious studio album recorded by the Art Ensemble of Chicago during their 23-month sojourn in France. Originally released by EMI's Pathe Marconi imprint in 1969, this 40-minute work by the four-piece lineup of Roscoe Mitchell, Joseph Jarman, Lester Bowie, and Malachi Favors showcases the group's inventive and revolutionary approach to collective improvisation, balancing clamorous free-blowing intensity with quiet conversational expanses utilizing their arsenal of 'little instruments.' This edition is fully licensed from Warner Music and features newly remastered audio.
