Basement - I Wish I Could Stay Here [VINYL]

From the quiet, picturesque east coast town of Ipswich, UK, Basement delivers an Alternative Rock sound steeped in duality. This release captures the band expertly navigating the tension between the comfort of the familiar and the allure of escape. Frontman Andrew Fisher's gravelly vocals stretch over driving rhythms and poignant guitar melodies, showcasing their unique blend of heartrending pop and gruff post-hardcore.

This album showcases Basement's ability to weave songs together with a quiet layer of jagged desperation beneath a smooth melodic surface. Whether tackling a slow-burning mid-tempo track or pounding out driving punk, the material feels toiling, torn, and bursting at the seams, much like a coming-of-age narrative.

• Expertly balances contrasts between heartrending pop and gruff post-hardcore.
• Features driving rhythms supporting Andrew Fisher's distinctive vocal delivery.
• Explores themes of conflict between familiarity and the desire to escape.
