Franz Joseph Haydn - Late Symphonies, Vol. 5 [CD]

This CD presents three symphonies by Franz Joseph Haydn, composed during the mid-1780s, capturing a period of triumph in the composer's career. Having recently gained the freedom to publish his own music and accept external commissions while still employed by the Esterhazy family, Haydn created these works, many of which were commissioned by a large ensemble established in Paris.
