Description
VOCES8, the internationally acclaimed British vocal ensemble, presents a Christmas album of choral and orchestral music. It features sparkling new arrangements of favourite carols by US composer Taylor Scott Davis, alongside world premiere recordings.
The album’s centrepiece is Davis’s setting of the Magnificat, a major work for choir and orchestra originally commissioned for VOCES8’s LIVE From London festival.
Also featured is The Sleeping Child, a serene, intimate a cappella carol written especially for VOCES8 by British composer Bob Chilcott.
