Good Morning, Vietnam (1987) - Special Edition [DVD]

Good Morning, Vietnam offers a poignant and often humorous fictionalized account of American DJ Adrian Cronauer's time broadcasting for the US Armed Forces Radio in South East Asia during the Vietnam War. Starring Robin Williams in a career-defining role, the film captures Cronauer's dynamic, largely improvised radio monologues that both entertain the troops and clash with military expectations. Beyond the airwaves, the story follows his growing connection with the Vietnamese people—teaching English to local children, forming a relationship with a Vietnamese woman, and surviving a harrowing terrorist attack. Directed by Barry Levinson, the film blends comedy and drama to explore war, identity, and cultural understanding.
