Death Hunt (1981) - DVD

Set in the harsh Canadian wilderness of 1931, this gripping survival drama follows the reclusive trapper Johnson, who lives in isolation near the Yukon River. When he intervenes in a brutal dogfight during a rare visit to town and purchases a dying dog against the owner's wishes, he sparks a bitter feud. Accused of murder by the vengeful dog breeder and his allies, Johnson becomes the target of Mountie Sergeant Millen, who—despite personal sympathy—must bring him in. As the manhunt intensifies, Johnson fights to protect not only his freedom but his very way of life.
