Embrace - Avalanche [audioCD]

Embrace, one of the defining bands of their generation, return with 'Avalanche', their ninth studio album, arriving in 2026 as they celebrate their 30th anniversary. Known for chart-defining records and headline festival slots, this release captures the band stripping things back emotionally and sonically.

Vocalist Danny McNamara describes 'Avalanche' as the most honest and open work Embrace has produced, prioritizing raw feel over polish, allowing the songs to remain imperfect and human. The band maintains a rare continuity, with the line-up remaining unchanged since 1996. This album reflects on the fragility and fleeting nature of life, focusing on capturing something real in the present moment rather than dwelling on legacy.

Danny McNamara noted the inspiration behind the title: "Real, deep, honest-to-God joy doesn’t live in the big, dramatic moments... It lives in the small, almost invisible flashes of magic that happen when you slow down and actually live in the moment." This sentiment permeates the lyrics of 'Avalanche'.
